Team of TESET

We are a strong and dynamic team. All of us have a clear goal to provide the best legal services to our client. This goal unites us and gives us the strength and competitive edge in the market of legal services. Every member of our team is an expert in their area of focus.

Law firm TESET is led by Tomas Talutis, PhD. He earned his Master of Law degree at the Faculty of Law of Vilnius University in 2001. Three years later, in 2004 he acquired his LL. M. degree at J. W. Goethe University in Frankfurt (Germ. Johann Wolfgang Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main), and in 2008 at the Faculty of Law of Vilnius University defended his doctoral thesis “Peculiarities of Operation of Independent Insurance Intermediaries” (in Lithuanian „Nepriklausomų draudimo tarpininkų veiklos ypatumai“) gaining a doctor’s degree of social sciences, branch of law.

Tomas Talutis, PhD has been practicing law since 2001. He gained professional experience working as a chief legal counsel at the Insurance Supervisory Commission for five years and as a member of the Securities

Commission of Lithuania for two years, where he was in charge for all legal matters of the institution. Afterwards, Tomas Talutis, PhD worked as an attorney-at-law of the Banking and Financial Law Practice Group at the law firm SORAINEN for nearly six years.

Tomas Talutis, PhD focuses on the areas of financial services regulation, authorisation and activity of banks and financial institutions, Fintech, authorisation and activity of investment funds and investment companies, alternative financing, capital markets, crypto financial assets, public offering of crypto tokens, as well as insurance and insurance mediation law and Insurtech.

Tomas Talutis, PhD has a unique professional experience gained in advising banks, well-known Lithuanian and international asset management companies, investment firms, crowdfunding platforms, loan brokerage platforms, alternative financing institutions and other financial institutions, companies listed on stock exchange, bond issuers, as well as well-known Lithuanian and international insurance companies and insurance brokers.
